ILLUSTRATE CHANGE

Helping to bridge the racial gap in Medical treatment one illustration at a time.

For 2,000 years medical illustrations have been used to teach medical students about disease conditions and pathology. But less than 5% of these images show dark skin which impacts health outcomes for people of color. We weren’t going to wait another 2 millennia for it to change. We decided to Illustrate some change of our own.

You can listen to Chidebere (Lead medical illustrator and curator for Illustrate Change) and myself talk about the project on the CMO Podcast
